She was born and raised in the Dominican Republic. She is a social entrepreneur focused on advancing financial inclusion and entrepreneurship for the community. She focuses on facilitating access to financial literacy, strategies, services and entrepreneurial opportunities to 100s of entrepreneurs and community members via workshops and mentorship through our community of financial professionals, partnerships and financial literacy campaign. We have a goal of educating 30 million families by 2030 and are doing so across the United States and Canada.
Her experience spans diverse sectors; including Biotechnology, E-commerce and Financial Services such as
* Co-founding Nyoka Design Labs, a clean technology and circular economy-focused enterprise which has now raised over 600K in venture capital funding and became a recognized signee of the United Nations Global Compact (2018)
* Co-founding AfroHub Market, an e-commerce and networking platform which focuses on supporting the local community of entrepreneurs of African Descent in British Columbia and has reached over 600 Black community members (2020)
She has spoken at 100+ events on entrepreneurship, financial literacy, JEDI and entrepreneurship and has been honoured as FLIK's 21 women entrepreneurs to watch in 2021, 2021 YWCA Young Woman of Distinction Nominee and a recipient of the 2020 Representation, Engagement, Participation Youth Award by HERE in Canada. She is a proud alum of League of Innovators, Earth Tech - Climate Ventures, Project Zero and the WSB Entrepreneurship builders program.
She is always looking to connect with other mission-aligned people and organizations focused on advancing financial literacy, financial inclusion and entrepreneurship while embracing diversity and culture.
