Renu Bawa

Founding Member

Renu was born and raised in BC, with a great love for the West Coast. Renu has a diverse background in business leadership, clinical supervision, criminal justice, crisis intervention, trauma therapy, local volunteer work, tourism, fundraising initiatives and a sales & marketing background. Renu currently runs a Clinical Counselling Private Practice in Victoria, as well as holds a Manager role for the local Victim Services & CYAC Programs for children & Youth that have experienced sexual abuse or other forms of harm. With a strong social services drive & a deep cultural awareness from traveling to over 70 countries, Renu offers a deep level of understanding, care, respect, cultural competency & humility, to ensure safety for the community, with a positive supportive connection with her professional colleagues, friends, family & clients.

Renu holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Health from the University of British Columbia (UBC), and a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Counselling Psychology. Renu Bawa offers Registered Clinical Counselling (RCC) services in Victoria & throughout BC, and she also supervises Master of Arts grad practicum students locally. Renu is also listed with the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) as an approved clinical counsellor for domestic violence & other forms of crime.
