Akash is an MBA Graduate from the University of Calgary and oversees the firm's legal talent in Western Canada with support from the National Talent team. He provides professional and performance management while acting as the point of contact for all coaching and mentoring to the current legal team as well as prospective hires in Western Canada.
With strong recruitment and talent expertise, Akash’s solid networking and educational background assist him in building ties between Miller Thomson’s goals and the National Talent department’s priorities. He has built a strong candidate and client base in Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto with knowledge and insight into the Vancouver market which allows him to help develop vital growth and support for the current team as well as future candidates.
He joins Miller Thomson from a national recruitment firm where he served as Director for 5 years, providing highly professional and comprehensive legal recruitment and related services for companies and law firms across Canada and internationally.
He has strong ties to the legal community through his involvement as the previous Western Chapter President of the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers (FACL) as well as his training efforts with Global Lawyers of Canada as well as the South Asian Community at large.
