Harmandeep Kaur

Harmandeep Kaur is a science entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience in research, process development, scale-up and technology transfer of natural products. She has finished her PhD in Biochemistry from Punjab Agricultural University, India in 2010 and after that, she worked as an Assistant Professor in Biotechnology for one year before immigrating to Canada in 2011. Shortly after the immigration, she joined Radient Technologies Inc (RTI)., an Ag-Bio company focused on converting renewable biomass feedstock into high-value natural ingredients for use in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, natural health products, food and cosmetic applications, in Edmonton Alberta, Canada. At RTI, she was continuously promoted from the starting position of Research Scientist to Director of Process Development in 2019. She started her own venture, Advanced BioInnovations Inc in June 2021, where she provides consultation to industrial clients for product and process development in nutraceutical, food ingredients and skin care space. She started another company Khumbatics Inc alongwith her two ex colleagues. They developed medicinal mushrooms based coffees and teas and are in the process of launching them soon.
