The Sifarish Network’s networking event will focus on sharing local business and professional subject matter experts sharing insights on the topics of Wellness, Innovation, and leadership. The Sifarish Network will highlight and showcase professionals with deep expertise who are enhancing the vibrancy of Calgary through their work by making an impact on collective wellness, innovation, and leadership in the city and province. The event will feature keynote speakers from local organizations including Experienced Cardiologist, Entrepreneur, Philanthropist, Humanitarian, Innovator, and founder of many successful healthcare ventures (Dr. Anmol Kapoor), and community leaders from prominent Calgary organizations such as PCHS (Former Board Member, Dr. Raman Gill and Executive Director- Sherri Shergill), and Harjeet Kaur, a stage 4 cancer survivor, advocates for cancer awareness in the South Asian community. She co-founded Chai and Hope to support South Asians facing cancer, breaking stigma and fostering open dialogue. Each speaker with a varying theme of expertise, as well as featured stories and anecdotes from their lives, will be shared. The speakers portion of the event will be followed by a networking hour.
Sifarish Background Information
The Sifarish Network is a non-profit organization created to bring together, connect, and uplift the South Asian community at large with a laser focus on professionals and business people through the power of peer-to-peer networking and community activations.
The meaning of Sifarish is commendation or recommendation. This defines the spirit of our group. Our aim is to create a social avenue and platform for South Asian professionals and business people to come together and support each other’s success through their professional and business journey and build bridges to the larger community in Canada.
