Maya Lohcham is an accomplished arts marketing and communications leader with extensive experience in audience development, brand management, strategic planning, and public engagement across the cultural sector.

Currently serving as Director of Marketing & Communications with the Victoria Symphony, Maya has led the organization through two of its most successful seasons, achieving record-breaking ticket sales, broadening audience reach, and revitalizing major public events such as Symphony SPLASH!. Her leadership is defined by a commitment to enhancing the visibility and impact of the performing arts through compelling storytelling and community engagement.

Prior to her role with the Victoria Symphony, Maya held marketing and communications positions with Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival and PuSh International Performing Arts Festival, contributing to the growth and evolution of both organizations. Earlier in her career, she completed a graduate internship in the Communications & Public Affairs department at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles, gaining valuable experience in cultural communications at one of the world’s leading art institutions.

Maya brings to her work a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing today’s arts organizations, along with a proven ability to align institutional vision with audience needs, strengthen brand and reputation, and foster meaningful connections between the arts and the communities they serve.
